A Poor Book Adaptation
Alex Rider was born as a book character. Who thought him up? The British author Anthony Horowitz. The first book was called Stormbreaker. I liked it. The author went on to write more of these Alex Rider books. I read the books after I saw the movie. However, when someone made the movie version of Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker, I found out that it was not the best book adaptation. I found the action extremely stupid and it wasn't even included in the book. Also, whoever though up a horseracing scene and put it in this movie was out of their mind. Who in the world find that interesting in an action movie (John Woo, director of Mission: Impossible II, this means you)? Another ridiculous scene that could have bee mildly entertaining was a scene where the protagonist's nanny gets in a fight with one of the villain's. The directors seemed to want to make it as childish as possible, including blowfish needles getting shoved in someone's hand. Also, they hardly showed anything. Whenever they were going to hit each other, it showed some cartoon on the TV in the house. Come on! It's an action movie, for crying out loud! That is what you directors were trying to do, right? Make an action movie? So, it wasn't the worst film ever, but it definitely could have been better.
